Exploring the Charm of Central Avenue, Bangor! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The transformation this small extension and alterations along Central Avenue, Bangor brought to Jac's home is remarkable. It was incredibly satisfying to see my designs and Jac's wishes come to life.


Both my client and I were delighted with the end result and I'm thrilled to have received another 5-star review from Jac.

Bright and spacious with glazed doors and sidelights to access the garden.

By removing walls and expanding into the existing yard, the narrow kitchen has been transformed. The introduction of open-plan living has created a new kitchen, dining, and family room, now filled with daylight, making it a delightful space to enjoy.

A sloped ceiling provided with three Velux rooflights positioned over the kitchen to provide a feeling of space while also flooding the kitchen with daylight.

It was great working with Jac on her extension and what a superb job she did designing the kitchen, choosing the finishes including the lighting, flooring and seating. We are both so pleased with the end result ❤️

Jac said that they all love the space and that it gives them pleasure coming home and spending time here. I just love Jac's mustard seating, sage green kitchen, flooring and lighting. ❤️

Here's a summary of what Jac wished for:

  • Provide a modern open-plan Kitchen / Family / Dining area.

  • To utilise the existing narrow and dark yard.

  • Incorporate lots of daylight.

  • Improve views and access to rear garden.

  • Provide a separate downstairs utility room.

  • Provide a downstairs wc, wash hand basin and shower room.

  • Remove existing chimney breast in the Sitting Room and above.

  • Install a hideaway pocket door in the living room.

Finally, I'm guessing you were thinking, what did it look like before? Well here it is, a long narrow kitchen and just outside is the yard. The wall on the right-hand-side was removed, steel beams inserted and the room extended into the yard.
