I wanted to uncover one of my latest projects in Newtownards. The improvements to this home include an extension to create an open plan Kitchen / Dining Family Room, also converting the attached garage to provide a new Master Bedroom with Ensuite.
The changes proposed will certainly turn this chalet bungalow into a fantastic modernised home, maximising the views over Stangford Lough and that's the brilliance of Belvedere Road!
The proposed rear extension with full height glazing and a Velux Vario flat glass rooflight will provide lots of natural light to the new open plan Kitchen / Dining / Family room.
Given the drop down to the existing garden levels a raised patio provided for outdoor dining and entertaining.

New entrance door with fully glazed sidelight.
Internal wall between Kitchen and Dining taken down to provide open plan living.

Kitchen and Dining area extended with lots of glazing.
Velux Vario flat glass rooflight.
New Kitchen.
Raised patio, accessed from the family room through the sliding doors.
Outdoor dining and entertainment area.
Attached garage converted into a Master Bedroom with Ensuite.
Garage door replaced with a window.
Boiler in garage renewed with an outdoor cabin pack system.
On the proposed front elevation the garage door replaced with a bedroom window. New entrance door and sidelight renewed.
The extension allowed us to introduce tall glazing, lots of natural light and increasing the size of the open plan family room. Maximising the vews towards Strangford Lough was also one of the goals here.
