I am pleased to announce that both Planning Permission and Building Control Approvals have been secured for this project. This milestone allows my client to move from concept to commencing on site.

Understanding Planning Permission

The Planning Permission underwent a thorough review by local authorities. This involved consultations to ensure compliance with regulations and the concerns of neighbours. This approval confirms that my designs meet aesthetic, functional, and legal requirements.

Similarly, Building Control Approvals ensure that the plans comply with health, safety, and structural standards. This process involved detailed assessments of my designs and construction methods. It underscores my commitment to quality and safety.

Moving Forward with the Project

With these approvals in hand, my clients can now proceed to finalise costs with a builder and commence on site. This is an exciting time, as we turn their wishes into reality.

The proposals highlight the new extension with fully glazed doors on both floors. On the ground floor the doors open onto a raised patio with garden storage below. On the first floor a new Juliet Balcony. All to maximise the superb views overlooking Belfast.

Detailed Overview of the Extension

The extension and alterations include the following, which are just what my clients wished for:

Ground Floor Enhancements

  • Extend to provide an open plan Kitchen (with island), Sitting, and Dining Room.

  • Provide a new raised patio/balcony with steps down to the gardens.

  • Below the patio, there will be a garden storage room.

  • Renew the Kitchen.

  • Provide a downstairs WC and a Utility.
